Important Before You Go Deer Hunting

Legal Equipment: Legal guns are shotguns, rifles, and muzzleloaders. Hand guns and high power rifles are NOT AUTHORIZED. Rifles must be compliant with the INDR’s Indiana Hunting and Trapping Regulations for public ground.

 General Firearms Deer Hunting Rules:

All hunters are subject to a TWO deer per hunt limit. This includes no more than ONE antlered deer for the combined season (archery and firearms).

-All hunters must declare their long gun to gate security personnel. Hunters must produce proof they are an authorized hunter upon request from security personnel.
-All firearms must be unloaded, secured in a gun case, and stored separately from ammunition while driving on Camp Atterbury.

 General Archery Deer Hunting Rules:

All hunters are subject to a FOUR deer bag limit. This limit includes no more than ONE antlered deer for the combined season (archery and firearms).

-All hunters must adhere to state hunting regulations published by the IDNR and applicable INNG policies.
-All hunters must prove completion of a valid state or federally sponsored hunter education course.
